Have you heard of Priti NYC Polish? I hadn't before, that is until I found their website and decided that their polishes sounded amazing with such a plethora of colors to choose from. Everyone always says you need to be somber in the winter, but I say it's a great chance to try new colors, just in darker hues. I don't really think neons are appropriate for winter, but how about colors with gray undertones or darker varieties? I especially liked the colors Dracula Orchid (dark gray), Geisha Girl (purple pictured above) and rabbit tracks which is teel with gray undertones. 7. If you got bleach on an article of clothing, tie dye it or bleach it completely for a new look
8. Add scarves to add a bit of color to an outfit
9. Costume jewelry makes any outfit more interesting
10. Borrow from mom/grandmom who can afford to buy things at full price!
This is a very inspirational book, where the author describes in parallel his own story and the incredible story of three Mexican fishermen who were lost at sea for almost 10 months before being rescued. The author struggled with substance abuse, fame, and fortune.This books is the author's attempts to tie in the fisherman, his mental illness, his marriage, and his career into one book. It is an encouraging tale of losing one's self in order to find the truth in life. I didn’t care about Joe. He tries to weave his story of being rich, feeling lost, finding God, coming to faith and finding his real home with the fishermen getting lost, finding God, coming to faith, and coming home. Fasion is a general term for a currently popular style or practice, especially in clothing, and it seems to change by the day. One day it's flats and fur, another it's heels and leather.
Fashion is really whatever the people who matter say it is. If Gucci says fashion is fishnet stockings, then that is what people view as fashionable. If Prada says fashion is lace up boots, then that will be all the rage for the next few months.
Fashion can change like the wind, so I think that it's still important to keep a sense of self with shopping and when dressing. If we all wanted to look alike, we would all wear uniforms . . . and where would the fun be in that?
Here are some tips for adding runway looks to your wardrobe:
1. Classic Coat - this is something that all runway looks seem to have. Generally people use nuetral tones or a pop of color - it's up to you!
2. Black Skirt - This is a must for every wardrobe. It can go classy, young and hip or professional. It's something that fashionists insist that every girl owns.
3. Black Dress - I don't know how many times my husband has asked me to get a black dress, but I'm such a "color" girl I never got around to it, but this really is a classy fashionable piece to own in your wardrobe.
4. White Blouse - For evening, add a pair of dress pants or skirt, and for work add a blazer or cardigan. It's very versatile, and is fashion meets the average joe.
5. Narrow Belt - Use it over coats and jackets and to belt-up cardigans and sweater dresses.
6. Scarf - This is a way to add color and pizzaz to an outfit. It can be added to turtleneck sweaters, tank tops or even blouses. Dress it up or dress it down with a scarf.
7. Pearls - I think that pearls have made a come back, and are not a fashion neccessity. They used to look old, but not look classic and classy.
8. Chunky Knits - These are very popular right now - cable knit sweaters or grandpa sweaters. My husband has been wanting one . . . I may have to break down and buy it for him for Christmas.
9. Military - This is a big thing right now. I love the gold button detailing on military jackets or even military/cargo pants. They are very edgy but also practical with all their pockets.
10. Try Jewel Tones - these are my absolute favorites. I love ruby reds, emerald greens, amethysy purple. These are the colors that really pop and grab your attention.

MY THOUGHTS:
The story revolves around Charlotte's adventures and run-ins with Alex while she attempts to prove to her father that she is capable of running the family business. She also desperately craves his permission to attend college for mathmatics, but her attempts failed.
I found this to be a very predictable novel - boy and girl meet and have a strong distaste for each other and want nothing to do with each other, only to be thrown together by an arranged marriage, which ultimately has a happy ending. Predictable and luke-warm in it's Christian references.

1. Make sure your kids know their name and address in case of emergencies. It is better to be prepared.
2. Look for back to school items on sale or coupons to save money. My husband and I rarely pay full price for anything
3. If your children are older, go over the rules with them. If they have cell phones make sure they know when they need to check in with the parents, and when to put the phone away.
4. With the first weeks of school, try to keep your kids focused on getting work done. It's hard to get back into that routine, but tasks get done more quickly if they have 100% attention and focus.

The characters are relatable and readers will probably be able to recognize them as someone they know in their own lives. There’s the new boss, Buzz, who seems to be all flash and show at first. There’s the very kind, service-oriented Barb, who makes every effort to encourage those around her. And then there’s Lyle, who at first seems like a ‘bleeding heart’ to Josie until she gets to know him better. For me, the element of the mysterious snow globe seemed to be an unnecessary ‘gimmick’. My Thoughts: I have read a few other books by Cindy Woodsmall, and I am definitely a fan. I not only enjoy her writing style and creative plots, but I also enjoy the population she chooses to write about: The Amish. Ever since I was younger I've been fascinated with this population and this lifestyle. I used to read every book I could on the Amish, and have visited Amish homes in Lancaster, PA and got to try their cooking and see how they lived. It's a very siimple lifestyle, and this book was no exception to Cindy's work, as it's another great book.

For me it's my faith. I have been a Christian since I was a little kid, but for so many people religious is about the actions and the duties and obligations, but it's about so much more.
It's about a relationship with the one who gave up everything for me. It's about the one who was perfect and sinless, taking on the guilt of the world, just so that we could live freely. Because of His sacrifice, I can be forgiven. I am covered by grace, and it's an amazing feeling.
I know everyone reading this may not agree or even believe in a God, but for me . . . I KNOW there is a God.
I once heard a philosophy teacher talk about how it's rational to believe in God. He gave us four scenarios. 1) Scenario 1 - God's real, and you do believe - You go to heaven and avoid hell 2) Scenario 2 - God's not real, and you do believe - You live a good life 3) Scenario 3 - God's real and you DONT believe, you go to hell 4) Scenario 4 - God's Not Real and you DONT believe - nothing happens
In Scenario 1, 2 and 3 it benefits you to believe in God . . . so do you really want to take the chance that he isn't real? It's food for thought, but my Faith is what brings me joy!

My little sister is getting married next month. I can't believe she is old enough to be getting married. It seems like it was just yesterday we were climbing trees, and making mud pies in the creek in our backyard, or pushing each other on the swing. I have so many fond memories of time spent with my little sister, and I know that marriage means that things will change, but she met a wonderful Christian man, who treats her like a princess, and she couldn't have picked a better guy!
Isn't her ring gorgeous? He chose well.
On November 20, 2010 my little sister will be a married woman.
It's hard growing up, but some changes are good ones. :)
